Food companies demonstrated they hold the recipe for success as they dominated the 17th Annual Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Ireland Awards at the Europa Hotel, Belfast last night.
With more than 15 awards available, categories ranging from The Public Sector to Food and Drink, to the Creative Industries, half of the winners were food-related companies. Local company Moy Park celebrated double success with an award for Best Marketing Team sponsored by PML and was the category winner for Fast Moving Consumer Goods for the Moy Park and AV Browne campaign titled “Share the Goodness.”
Carol Magill, CIM Network Manager for Ireland said: “This was a very competitive year, with some big and small brands entering. Clearly marketers really embraced the NI Year of Food and Drink! As well as seeing Moy Park building on last year’s success at the awards, the Mintel sponsored Food and Drink category was won by Heavenly Tasty Organics, a small company which is exporting organic baby food across the world and demonstrating that all you need is really good know-how and drive to get ahead. Exporter of the Year was Linwoods which has previously experienced the benefit of being associated with CIM, the largest marketing professional body in the world. In addition, McCann Blue and Safefood were awarded Best Public Sector Campaign.”
Meanwhile, Professional Services sponsored by Baker & McKenzie was won by Danske Bank which also took home a Chair’s Award for Marketing for consistently High Standard.
Other winners included:
Morrow Communications and Mencap in the Not for Profit category sponsored by Moy Park; The Mac won the Creative Industries sector sponsored by Cleaver Fulton Rankin; Ardmore Advertising with Phoenix Natural Gas won in the Construction, Engineering, Automotive, Transport/other Manufacturing category sponsored by Northern Lights. The Tourism category supported by LIBRA events was won by the Galgorm Hotel and Spa. Engage won the Technology Category (supported by McGowans) and Almac won the Life Science Category sponsored by Corporate AV. Wilson’s Auctions won the Independent Marketer Category sponsored by Ulster Business School and for the second year in a row the Lough Neagh Partnership celebrated a win, this year with a Chair’s award.
