Movie House Dublin Road is encouraging mums and dads to bring their little ones to their first ever film on April 16th and enjoy a family fun morning to boot!
To celebrate the release of the new Winnie the Pooh film by Disney, the cinema is holding a very special event where little ones who have never been to the movies before will get a My First Movie certificate.
But that’s not all – there will be loads of fun and games in the cinema for families with children of all ages. The fun morning will include a range of games such as indoor skittles, table football and giant Jenga.
There will be a visit from the Easter bunny handing out yummy chocolate eggs, face painting so little ones can be their favourite character, arts and crafts and other fun! The Coca Cola Events Team will also be on hand to give out lots of little goodies.
“Everyone loves Winnie the Pooh – it’s all about friendship and having fun. We think this is an ideal first movie for children. We wanted to make this a real occasion for little ones and their families; a trip to the cinema is a great outing and something to remember – so each child making their first cinema visit will get a special certificate that parents can keep and show the child as he or she grows up,” said Paula Kearney from Movie House Dublin Road.
“There’s no suggested age for a child to see his or her first movie – it’s very much up to the parents but most children are between 2 and 3 when they first visit the cinema. For this screening, we are going to keep the lights up a little brighter and keep the sound down a bit.”
But with all the fun activities, this isn’t just a day for the toddlers and older kids will have fun creating their own crafts and joining in the games – not to mention watching the movie.
And remember, Movie House Dublin Road has a special parking offer with the multi story car park behind the cinema and cinema customers can park their car there for just £2.
The cost of the family fun activities will be free to all cinema ticket holders. The cost of a family ticket for four is just £15 or individual matinee tickets cost £4.
